On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the 2nd annual Wilton Pride Be You Festival took place on the Town Green from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Building on last year’s success, the festival featured music, performing arts, exhibits, and food trucks. Farah Masani, Founder of Wilton Pride, emphasized the festival’s commitment to celebrating diversity and fostering unity.

Lighthouse and Wilton Pride’s partnership brought over 50 visitors to our booth. Lighthouse, a peer-to-peer social support program for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies, provides a welcoming and safe space for teens to connect, share experiences, and build community through various activities.

“This annual festival is a place where our differences are celebrated, our voices are heard, and our diversity binds us in unity! This festival is about love and acceptance. A tradition reminding us that visibility, solidarity, and inclusivity are not just ideals but essential for a harmonious society. We are lucky to have Wilton Library partner with us in this tradition,” said Farah Masani.

The Lighthouse and Wilton Pride 2024 team interviewed Farah about the importance of our partnership, highlighting the collaborative spirit that makes events like this possible.
