BlackRock Employees Dedicate Their Time to Help Children in Need at Kids In Crisis Employees of BlackRock, one of the world’s leading providers of investment, advisory, and risk management solutions, recently dedicated their time, energy and hearts to children and families in need through volunteer work at Kids In Crisis.

BlackRock employees are given an opportunity to volunteer their time at a local level through their Gives Network, a global community of employees committed to making a positive impact in the places where they live and work. Each office’s Gives chapter is a springboard for colleagues to work collectively and address their community’s need.

According to Carmen Ortiz, Administrative Business Partner at BlackRock and Lead of the Greenwich Gives chapter, volunteering at Kids In Crisis is something that BlackRock employees really enjoy. “By assisting children in need, we have the opportunity to make a lasting impact and we get to experience it firsthand through our individual interactions.”

BlackRock has been partnering with Kids In Crisis since 2019 and according to Carmen, longstanding partnerships with local non-profit organizations like Kids In Crisis are important to the entire BlackRock community.

“We volunteer to help children and families in need because we have the capability and desire to make a difference in our community,” said Carmen. “We don’t see this partnership as an obligation. Instead, we view it as a privilege to use our resources to make a positive difference in the lives of these children.”
